FaxPack provides complete and reliable fax integration directly within 4D. Since 1996, FaxPack has been the 4D Developer's choice for production environments with heavy faxing requirements. 4-Sight FAX version 7 provides customers with a TCP/IP based fax server allowing the sending and receiving of faxes via any Internet connection.
Today, FaxPack is used heavily in automated faxback systems, marketing and customer information systems and a large variety of real-time service systems within demanding businesses. 4D Developers appreciate its easy integration and rock-solid performance.
FaxPack 7.6 is a Universal Binary plug-in which runs native on Intel Macintosh as well as PPC Macintosh machines. The Universal Binary architecture also provides improved performance for all FaxPack commands, although speed improvement for processor intensive commands are tenfold or greater.
FaxPack 7.6 includes a new fax archival command allowing developers to archive incoming or outgoing faxes in either Tiff or PDF format.
Programmers can specify a fax or a group of faxes to be archived, based on any criteria, freeing the incoming and outgoing queues for the most current or relevant faxes. The FaxPack Switch printer command has been updated for compatibility and optimized with the latest Leopard & Lion versions of Mac OS X.
This command provides automated printer switching from both Filemaker Pro and 4D applications. All new FaxPack 7.6 commands are built to work with 4-Sight FAX Server version 7.5 or later.
In conjunction with 4-Sight FAX, FaxPack users enjoy complete faxing solutions within their database. The integral FaxPack plug-in provides an ideal solution for companies needing one-step fax sending of database forms to their customers.
In addition, FaxPack applications commonly retrieve, view and check the status of a fax. With an Internet connection, customers also have unlimited accessibility, sending, receiving and retrieving faxes from anywhere in the world.

FaxPack for Macintosh is Mac4DX compatible (4D v6.8 and above), PowerPC native and works exclusively with 4-Sight FAX, the leading Macintosh fax server.
It is also backward compatible with 4D 6.0 through v11.
FaxPack for Macintosh was designed with strict requirements to maintain compatibility with FaxPack for Windows.
FaxPack for Windows is compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, ME, SEVEN and works exclusively with 4-Sight FAX v5, v6, & v7.
FaxPack 7.6 for 4th Dimension is compatible with 4D version 11 & 12 and has been adapted to the new 4D 2004 (and later) plug-in design.
FaxPack 7.6 is also available in both the new and old 4D plug-in architecture.
The new plug-in format contains a single cross platform file that runs on both Macintosh and Windows for 4D 2004 and later.
4D developers can simply drop the FaxPack plug-in into the plug-ins folder. Legacy 4D applications running 4D 2003 and earlier can upgrade to FaxPack 7.6 while still using the traditional Mac4DX and Win4DX formats when necessary. |

Version 7.6 is a free upgrade from version 7.5
Deployment licenses are bound to a specific 4D Server. When ordering such a license, the 4D server number must be provided. This number is displayed by the plug-in in demo mode, or can be returned by the 4D command GET SERIAL INFORMATION (v6.7 or later).
Version 6.5 and OEM licenses only require the developer name.
